Seminar #3, February 16, 7 PM
|
Standing room only for last weeks seminar.
Derreck Therman gives our February 9 seminar audience a personal glimpse into his sailing adventures around the San Juan Islands. He and his family had a ringside seat, for 1.5 hours, floating with T25. Check out Derrecks You Tube Channel
Mike Harmer will be our next seminar presenter. If you have attended our seminars in the past, you may have enjoyed Mikes 5 star presentations on one of his many trips down to the British Virgin Islands. So we'll be changing things up on February 16.
Join us for Mike's presentation: "Sailing Lime Key & the Everglades", 7 PM, Provo Marina Visitors Center.

The Elegance and Joy of Wooden Pond Yachts (long)
Will your boat be secure / prepared enough to weather a strong wind event both out on the water... and in the slip?
Get Windy Lookout app on your phone for high wind warnings. This really works for Utah Lake sneak attack winds! Use dock line snubbers to minimize shock loading on dock cleats and boat horn cleats. Reef early and reef often. Your boat may reef differently than this example.
"When you're stuck in a jam-whether from engine failure or a fierce storm approaching, a VHF radio can be your lifeline to the world".
Tunes to help get you off the lake when it's blowin' 30-40.
