Well it's about time! Catalina Trip Planned. Sept 2022

We're Sailin' to Catalina!
After a too long Covid hiatus,
we're putting together a blue water experience on a couple of big boats
so you can beef up that sailing resume and start livin' the dream.

Watching the sun come up in Two Harbors, Catalina 2018.

At anchor somewhere along Catalina's fascinating coastline. 2018
August Dream. Jeanneau 44'

Martin deep in thought on some chart problems. Catalina 2018.

Great experience for your International Sailing License and Credentials certification.
(required for chartering in the Mediterranean)

Due to the numerous requests to lay on another trip to Catalina,
here's what we've come up with:

September 26, 27, 28
Dana Beth, Lagoon 42', catamaran

September  29, 30, October 1
A Little Endeavor, Beneteau 45', monohull

Possible temporary sailing fix for Great Salt Lake sailors.

Could hydrophobic butterfly wings benefit the maritime industries?

Pretty much any day now, our deep draft (4') boats will need to be pulled out.
Current water level, September 1, 2022 is -6.04' below compromise.
Utah lake averages 9.9' deep.
(Featured above is our Cape Dory, 3' draft, which will not be far behind).

The mast crane in the overflow parking lot has had a new winch installed. Please don't pull a Tim the Tool Man modification on it. Contact the Ranger if you're having issues.

Don't forget to remove any "bottom growth" upon pull out...right then and there while on the ramp. If you let Utah Lake "grass" dry and harden on your boats bottom...
you'll be sorry you did. Power wash, Scraping. Course Brillo Pad. Putty knife. Scrub brush, etc.
