Our Catalina 27, pulled out on October 30, 2021 with no problems.
Water level at the time of haul-out... -4.57".
If you don't draft more than 4', you should have no problems launching, getting out on the lake, or hauling out at the end of the season...if water levels stay the same.


Another nice "perk", slipping at the Provo Marina, is the new water treatment program to reduce algae growth in the harbor. There is virtually no grass / bottom growth on our hulls, 2021.


What is "Seamanship"?
Most of Bonneville's "Learn to Sail" students, once successfully completing the course, with certificate in hand, feel pretty confident. Some, you might say, take on an invincible persona. It's hard to convince them, that now that the first step has been taken, a continuation of steps will be necessary to make it near the summit of a well rounded seamanship resume . Really, not unlike any other field you may wish to become proficient in.


At last I feel vindicated. Christian Williams asks a valid "seamanship" question (I had the same question) about Robert Redford's shaving scene... as he prepares (?) for an approaching storm at sea.  Mr. William's video is a long, but fascinating account of sailing alone, from Long Beach to Hawaii and back to Long Beach. Watch it full screen mode and take note of many of his good seamanship skills/ practices.
