2012  ADVENTURE  CRUISE  TO  CATALINA
May 17, 18, 19

An elegant and spacious Lagoon 38 catamaran has been secured for a three-day adventure cruise to Catalina Island, leaving Long Beach at 11 AM Thursday,  May 17 and returning between 4-5 PM Saturday,  May 19.

This is a unique opportunity to learn the systems and functions of a big charter catamaran from our skipper, Roger Bliss. We will set sail for Avalon and after securing our mooring, do some promenade window shopping, island exploration or restaurant sampling. Day two, expect to get more hands on experience with MOB drills, anchoring, chart reading, tacking and jibing and manuevering under power. We'll make a decision as to where to spend night two...Avalon or Two Harbors. Day three we'll set a course for Long Beach and get ready for some Dolphin sightings.

We have room for 8 crew, and as space is limited we would encourage you to reserve your spot by March 28th with a one half down deposit (non-refundable). At $195 per day, per person, you will not find a better adventure cruise, combined with hands on experience anywhere on the planet.   Price includes a chauffeured drive from the airport to the boat and back again, complete provisioning and food preparations for breakfast and lunch, on-board sleeping accommodations, fuel, mooring fees, and big cat check ride.

SPRING  CLINIC
"How to Make Your Sailboat Fly"
May  4th & 5th

Friday BBQ & Dockside Instruction  6 - 9 PM
Saturday on-the-water  8 AM - 1 PM

Course fee $185.00

Our instructor, Tim Adams, is a veteran ocean racer as well as top finisher in the Great Salt Lake Yacht Club's racing series. Last year's spinnaker clinics were a blast. Check out the photo gallery of this exciting on-the-water class, conducted by Tim.
This year's clinic will be held onboard Bonneville's Olson 30, Wyewacket.  This boat is very sensitive to sail trim, and with 11 suits of sails, promises a wealth of information on how to get the most out of your rig .  .  .  be it up or down wind. Whether you are a racer of just enjoy cruising these tips will definately enhance your sailing experience.
The clinic is  limited to six learning crew.

We are looking forward to a great spring out on the water - hope you can join us!
