Sailing Seminar #3, Boat & Trailer Electrical Systems |
 Presented by DeWitt Smith 7 - 8:30 PM, February 6, 2018 116 W. Center, Provo This seminar is designed for owners and sailors who have a basic knowledge of their boat and trailer's electrical systems and want to learn more about diagnosing and correcting issues.

 No...in this case SLC does not stand for Salt Lake City, it stands for Sailing License and Credentials The key to the issuance of the SLC for American clients was the recent United States Coast Guard initiative to create sailing education standards. The result is the “American National Standards for Sailing Training and Assessment” which has been approved by the American National Standards Institute (the USA representative of the International Standards Organization (ISO)). The NauticEd SLC follows and exceeds this standard.
 Warm winter temps prompt Lindon Marina to open. Utah Lake water level now -3.16 and rising! That's better water depth than all of last year.

 Chasing Stars is the Julian Family, 46' cat, leaving Florida, March 1, for Brisbane, Australia. They have asked for participation/support, to produce a blog that we can all enjoy as they sail the high seas. If you have any of the equipment list below, please consider donating/selling, to producing images that will teach and inspire for a lifetime.
"We are still looking to acquire video equipment to document this epic trip and produce YouTube videos for all to enjoy. Plus to help with homeschooling. We would appreciate any guidance or leads that the group may have on the following":
- Drone (more portable the better)
- Microphones - shotgun and lapel
- Action cameras (GoPRo or other)
- DSLR or other main camera for video
- SSD hard drives, SD cards
- Video editing guidance
