Rules of the Road Know your rules when out on the race course A great way to learn right of way, is out on the race course.
There's also some other race coming up pretty quick too.
Some of the reasons I sail: It's fun It's relaxing It's challenging I am always learning something new I meet amazing people I experience incredible sunsets and the occasional sunrise I accumulate knowledge Problem solving on the water, gives me confidence outside of my sailing experiences It strengthens family relationships It offers an escape from the "Metro Cooker" Why do you sail?
Livin' the Dream
Bonneville graduate Wes will participate in this years Baja Ha-Ha
"Hi Guys. Thanks for the emails. And thank you for all your help. We are participating in the Baja haha this year and sailing our Islander 36 down to Cabo.
Couldn't have done it with out your help. Since taking sailing from you I have been sailing all over the west cost, north and south. 25 to 30 mile per hour winds and 12 to 15ft. swells. You taught me well. I've put every thing you taught me into practice at one time or another. Thank you so much". Wes
Keep us in the loop Wes. We would like to follow your progress down to Cabo. Fair winds.
Summer Sailstice A great social sail event Celebrate this world wide sailing event by getting out there June 23-25 Moh Wadda Moh Beddah register to win prizes.
In the past we have sailed to Pelican Bay on the west side of Utah Lake, for a BBQ / home made ice cream / sailing stories swap.
Pelican Bay Marina is currently closed, due to dredging operations.
PLAN B There are nearly 30 sailboats at the Lindon Marina. Cast-off dock lines and leave Lindon Marina at 6:30 PM (18:30), Friday, June 23 (solstice is the longest day of the year) Form a conga line sailing down to Utah Lake State Park and move the BBQ / home made ice cream / sailing stories swap under the ice rink pavilion. That means the open transient docks will probably fill up fast... so be prepared to anchor out in the "outer harbor". Bring no-see-um netting for your companionways and hatches.
Consider lighting up your boat with 12v LED strip lighting.
ATTN: Sailboats at ULSP... consider coming out to meet the Lindon Flotilla half way, and return with us to the Provo Marina.
Sail all over the place for the rest of the Sailstice weekend
OR JUST DO YOUR OWN THING
In rememberance Thank You

Thank you to all our Veterans.
