Our instructor, Doug Hendricks, is an OUPV Captain, who has sailed the Pacific, Atlantic, Caribbean and Aegean Sea, using sextant only navigation.

Captain Doug can help each student in the class progress at their own pace,
using PowerPoint demos,
explaining step-by-step procedures from student manuals,
access to sextants, navigation tools, charts and almanacs.
These CN seminars will also be available on-line after the class has ended,
just in case you may have missed something. This is a great to learn the Ancient Mariners art.

In a recent Utah Lake Commission Governing Board meeting, Jason Allen, Park Ranger said,
"I promise it will be done by spring".
The skipper of Talking Stick would have preferred dredging be done two years ago, when funding was finally allocated, after many of you voiced marine hazard concerns to your legislators.
