Pictures of the Regatta, the Runaway Dock and Flooding at the Park

Spring is finally here!

A great group of sailors participated in this year's Utah Summer Games Keelboat Regatta.  We would like to thank Brett Bingham and his helpers on the committee boat, for all of their hard work in making the Regatta such a success.  The race buoy tetrahedrons, provided by Roger Bliss, were also much appreciated. Reed Farnsworth, the event photographer, has published an article on the USGKR for the Deseret News, accompanied by some of his photos. You can access those here.

We had some excitement at the marina on Monday when the south dock broke loose from strong south winds and blew into the north dock. The high wind gusts also pushed a lot of logs and debris into the slips and onto the north side of the park.

For more photos of the flooding at the park, the Regatta and the run-away dock, see our albums on Facebook.

Now that we are having warmer weather, we are looking forward to spending more time on the lake.  We will be starting several new group lessons in the next couple of weeks. For information and scheduling, call Louise at 801.636.5204.
