Now that the boats are out of the water, we have shifted gears, turning our attention to moving forward with Bay Bea’s restoration, finalizing Winter Sailing Seminars, fine tuning our curriculum (thanks for great course evaluations) and formulating new and exciting courses for the 2011 sailing season.
As we started into our historical research on Bay Bea once again, we came across this fascinating blog from former race crew, Richard Purinton. Richard, who is now a Wisconsin Ferry Boat Captain, competed on Bay Bea back in 1967-69, and has recorded some of his memories on his Ferry Cabin News blog:
