Park City Sailing receives Olympic racing boats . . .

PCSA Elliot 6meter Sailboats

It is with great excitement to announce that the Park Sailing Association (PCSA) has been awarded a donation of 8 Elliott 6meter sailboats from the Sailing Education Foundation of Sheboygan (SEAS)! The donation includes 8 boats, spare parts and 3 storage containers.
The Elliot’s are 20foot boats that are used for the Women’s match racing medal in the Summer Olympic Games. They will fill out the PCSA fleet by providing a boat that can support fleet racing, match racing, team racing, high school and college sailing programs along with adaptive sailing in conjunction with several local organizations.
While all of this is extremely exciting there is significant cost associated with the donation. The PCSA must now ship the boats from Wisconsin to the Jordanelle and immediately assume the costs of ownership that includes insurance, moorings, rigging, launching and more.
Two PCSA families and an outside donor have agreed to contribute $15,000 to cover some of the initial costs. We need the entire PCSA family to take a moment and think about what has been accomplished in 5 short years and to envision the future with programs supporting adaptive sailing and more.
The Board at PCSA asks you to visit our donation page today and help us bring these boats to Utah. We cannot stress how important your contribution will be. If you can consider making a 5year pledge, please contact Ken Block 435-602-2707 for details. Remember that PCSA is a 501-C3 tax deductible organization.
None of this happens without your support.
