MORE BOATS IN NEED OF CREW

We've had a few requests for locating crew for the upcoming USA Sailing Regatta, June 8, on Utah Lake. If anyone wants to get on a boat as crew, contact us and we'll see if we can get you a ride. And all you Skippers out there, let us know if you're short handed. Let's get ready to rumble, all you go-fasters.

VISIT  OUR  NEW BLOG

Taking the dinghy ashore

We just got back from our annual Catalina Island Cruise, that being the latest post on our new blog. We welcome responses and involvement from our sailing community. Our inland sailors rock and we have such great resources all around us. You may recall our shout out for the Bahamas to the Chesapeak blue water voyage aboard Nepomuk. Peter and crew left the Bahamas, May 20th and are somewhere in between landfalls. Let's have some fun with this. The first person to guess the closest day/hour they tie up in the Chesapeake will win a "FREE" crew spot aboard an Olson 30 for our next Intro to Racing clinic. Submit entries to info@bonnevillesailing.com

CRANE  POSSIBILITIES  LOOKIN'  GOOD

We've had some great response to our call for help to get a mast crane erected down at the Provo Marina. John and Cindy have sent us these pictures of a telephone pole crane used to help drop the mast on their beloved Capri 26, Coyote, as she came back home to Utah. And Alan, who is a boss man with Provo City, has his eye on a 45' long telephone pole. Mitch also has connections with folks in the know when it comes to telephone poles. Our Park Ranger Jason has given us the green light on installing such a pole for stepping masts. If you have expertise with planting large poles in the ground, or would like to volunteer to be involved in this project, please let us know. This is a pretty big deal to have such an improvement down at the marina. Thanks to all who have been instrumental in getting this done.
