Some of our best Winter Sailing Seminars have been presented by our inland sailors who have gone to the British Virgin Islands. Due to the interest that has been shown, and suggestions for a flotilla, we have been gathering information that will help make a sailing adventure in the Carribean, with friends and family, a possibility. We are planning a flotilla for April 2014. The more boats that we charter, the greater the discount. We will stay together for the first 2 or 3 days until everyone knows the ropes and then people can stay with the flotilla or go their separate ways. Our BVI FAQ's page is a work in progress. EXPLORE PROVO BAY
The water looks like its coming up in Utah Lake. Now would be a great time to sail into Provo Bay. This is a huge wildlife refuge, very different than anywhere else on the lake. Yes, it is shallow, but we've sailed about 1/2 mile into the bay with no problems.
PARK RANGER CHANGE COMING
Ty Hunter, long time Utah Lake State Park Manager, anounced he will be moving up the chain of command within DNR. Ty has been instrumental in a lot of great changes and improvements made at Utah Lake State Park. A successor has yet to be determined.UTAH LAKE FESTIVAL

June 8 will be the new date for the Utah Lake Festival and USA Keelboat Regatta, held at Utah Lake. West Marine will be offering awards for top finishers, as well as USA medals and T-shirts. Advanced registration offers reduced entry fees. Boats will be divided into classes to give all equal opportunities to compete. The festival was moved from June 1 to June 8 because of "free fishing day" at the park.
